Were back

It's been a while and we just wanted to update you on what's been going on.  With moving, remodeling and venturing into new art enterprises we have been busy and sadly neglectful of our website.  So all of this is changing and we are moving forward with a new focus towards some fun events and artistic challenges!  Recently we have been participating in the Gresham Saturday Market which has been challenging and rewarding at times.  Who knew us old chicks could put up a tent and lug around 45+ weights?  Setting up, although tedious, is the easiest but by the end of the day and the sun is shining down, let's just say it's exhausting and did I mention HOT.  Our fellow vendors and the management team have been great.  We love the customer feedback plus we even reconnected with some of our past Wren's Nest friends!  One of our members has also joined Artistic Portland, an artist co-op conveniently located in the Hollywood District.  This is an amazing store featuring locally made products from beautiful jewelry to unique wall art.  If you live or are visiting in Oregon check us out!

We have been adding items to our etsy site weekly.  I included a few of our newer items in the post.  CheckTinkerware
out our etsy site for all of our new items.

Speaking of the Wren's Nest, our Holiday Show is planned for the weekend of November 7th.   We are featuring many new artists, a lot of our favorites and of course an assortment of Vintage treasures.  This year we promise you an easy, relaxing shopping excursion that will meet your holiday and gift giving needs.  Updates and featured artists will start in September so don't forget to check back in.

We are looking for a few artists to join our Holiday event.  If you are interested and want more information you can contact me at Wrens Nest.  We will need photos and a brief description of your artwork, food item or product.

Enjoy the rest of the summer and save the date for our Holiday Show!

Holiday musings

I just picked up the latest entry from the abundance of holiday magazines now available at our local stores and was amazed at the creativity and subtle but effective decorating ideas it offers.  It's hard to believe that the Wren's Nest Holiday Show is quickly approaching and I am still thinking of new projects to create.    My practical side however is realizing that I need more months to complete my already-in-process items, but my creative side is thinking that maybe those glittered star ornaments can still be squeezed in.

Thankfully I have a bevy of talented artists that will also be showcasing their projects at our November event.  This definitely gives me comfort knowing we will have a wonderful assortment of goods to offer to our customers.  From original paintings, beautiful jewelry, one of a kind hand decorated glassware to elegant or whimsical Christmas decor we have something for everyone!  Nestled amongst these items we have an assortment of carefully selected vintage goods.   Freshly baked treats, handcrafted kitchen goods, and creative greeting cards are just a few of the many items available that will simplify your gift giving needs and add to your holiday keepsakes.

As we move closer watch this site for updates and featured highlights/photos on our vendors and their creative merchandise.  Don't forget to mark your calendar.
